WK21 Curious

By Sandbox

I've included the original uncropped image below. Although I liked how the scale of everything gave context to how small the little girl was, I found the reflections in the windows above her too distracting. I'm much happier with the cropped version, I was still able to frame the picture properly without completely losing the scale.

WK20 Skyscraper

By Bad Religion

WK19 Man I Used To Be

By K-OS

WK16 Evil Urges

By My Morning Jacket

This song title inspired many concepts, but this was the most PG (not to mention PC) idea that I came up with. It was supposed to be a woman's hand reaching for the lolli, but unfortunately Jess doesn't have Costanza hands. Thanks to our neighbour Jessica for tracking down the antique carriage, which was exactly what I had in mind for this shot. If I find the time tomorrow, I may bring it outside and try a couple variations of this shot in the park. If they come out the way I'm envisioning them, I'll post them here as well.

WK15 Wild Horses

By The Rolling Stones

WK13 Under The Bridge

by Red Hot Chili Peppers

WK9 Lost Cause

By Beck

Last week I heard that Polaroid had stopped production of their film, basically rendering my Polaroid camera useless (not that I've used it much recently). For some reason, when I heard the news, "Lost Cause" by Beck immediately came to mind.

WK8 25 or 6 to 4

By Chicago

This was a minute-long exposure @ f22 in Bulb mode.

WK7 Bad Medicine

By Bon Jovi

The shoot for this week's pic actually ended up serving two purposes... My picture for the week, and the long-overdue cleaning out of our medicine cabinet/drawer. The first picture (of expired drugs) was the original idea for the song title, but then another idea came to mind, and I really like the way it turned out.

WK6 Let's Love

By Matthew Sweet

An experiment with glow sticks and slow shutter speeds in honour of St. Valentine's Day.

WK3 Variations on Change

I felt it was only fitting that this week (today in particular) should focus on the changing of the guard in the White House and what it means to a lot of people. So I took some pictures while I was watching the inauguration on TV (so please forgive the quality) and here are some song titles that could work with the theme. If anyone has any other suggestions for songs with "Change" in the title, feel free to share via the comment button below.

A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke
Change - Blind Melon
Changes - David Bowie
Things Have Changed - Bob Dylan

Deviating...

OK, so it's only week 3 and I'm already deviating from the theme, but this series of pictures was taken intentionally while I was out shooting last week... I couldn't resist... What can I say? You see something and it sparks ideas. And even though it's not a song title, it's an album title, which kind of counts, right? (Answer: No, not really. So I'll still add another post this week, based on an actual song title).

Anyway, the following series is titled "Vulgar Display of Power", an album (yes, I still call them 'albums' for some strange reason) by Pantera.
