08-07-01 | Ode to Bruno
We finished Phase 1 of our yard remodeling today... It was a lot of work, but it looks amazing, and we couldn't have done it without the help of my Dad. From hauling bricks to Pickering from Newmarket, to his experienced opinion on tearing down the deck and building the fence, to his very generous "early inheritance", we really should nickname it "Bruno's Landing"... But in all seriousness, the coolest thing about it... We don't need to call it that, because I can already envision him sitting out there in the early morning light with a cup of coffee and the paper... Which is pretty damn cool, and is also why this is an "Ode to Bruno".

08-05-03 | The H Factor
Well, I hate to say it, but I saw this coming since the trade deadline. Letting Huet go for a bag of peanuts would ultimately come back to haunt the Habs. Was Price good? Phenomenal, even? During the last quarter of the season... Yes, Absolutely! But does that mean that Gainey should have given up a proven netminder and left Carboneau with two rookie goaltenders to lead the team to the cup? Absolutely... Not! That's my opinion, and ultimately, that was their undoing (again, my opinion). Like it or not, it sucks, but it's the truth.
Maybe next season... But then again, maybe not. The ball is in Gainey's court...

My apologies to the four of you that frequent this blog... Lately I haven't had the time to think, let alone think about pictures... THIS is why I didn't apply for manager... Just acting as one is demoralizing (not to mention time-consuming) enough.

08-02-20 | Lunar Frostbite
Last night's Lunar Eclipse was pretty freekin' cool. On the downside, it took a very cold night to get such clarity. On the upside, I managed to narrowly escape frostbite and snap the half hour leading up to the total eclipse (no, not "of the heart" Bonnie Tyler! Jeez It's been what? 25 Years since that gem and you're still riding it for all it worth?)
